Artificial intelligence has entered the studio. It writes, suggests, sings and mixes. For some artists it is a threat. For others it is the most exciting instrument to appear in decades. The Italian AI Music Awards exist for the second group, and for everyone curious about what they are making.
Who we are
The Italian AI Music Awards (IAIMA) is an online contest and showcase for Italian artists who create music with AI. This is our first edition. Think of us as a stage: a place built to put the music, and the people behind it, in front of listeners.
What we do
We find, select and present AI-assisted music made in Italy. Every artist appears on our map of Italy, from the Alps to the islands, so you can see where this new scene is growing. Every track can be played right from the page. And it all leads to an Online Final, whose date we will announce here.
Two ways in
- - By Invitation: up to 32 artists we invite to take part. Each one gets a dedicated page and an in-depth interview about how they work.
- - Open Call: up to 48 tracks, open to every Italian artist creating with AI. No categories and no genre limits, from techno to jazz, from Italo disco to metal. Selected tracks are featured on the Artists page.
Human × AI
Transparency is the rule. For every entry, artists declare who did what across six roles: lyrics, melody, vocals, arrangement, production, mix and master. Human, AI, or both. There is no right answer and no points for purity. We simply believe listeners deserve to know how a song was made, and artists deserve credit for the choices only they can make.
AI can generate a thousand songs. Choosing the one worth releasing is still an artist’s job.
The IAIMA Team
Our vision
A music scene where AI is an instrument, not a replacement. Where Italian artists help define how these tools are used, instead of following trends set elsewhere. And where being open about the creative process is normal, not the exception.
Our mission
To give Italian artists who create with AI a real stage, a fair showcase and an audience. To tell their stories through interviews, not press releases. To make transparency a standard with the Human × AI indicator. And to turn a scattered community into one visible map.
What happens next
Keep an eye on this News section: the Open Call deadline, the invited artists and the date of the Online Final will all be announced here. If you make music with AI, this is your moment.
