The Interview

In conversation with Radice Personal Music

Interview by IAIMA team · 2026-10-22 · 2 min read

How did you start making music with AI?

I was in the car with a chorus in my head, and I mentally wrote the song. When I got home, I looked up how to do it, and that day I discovered AI programs. I didn't know about them, and for me it was a bolt from the blue.

What does AI do in your creative process — and what stays human?

What always remains human is the thought, the error and the fragility of the theme or moment treated.

Tell us about "IF". How was it made?

A week before writing the song, I was in a serious motorcycle accident that hit me hard. The face I see in the mirror today was different before, and this episode led me to write about the variables and small gestures that involuntarily lead us to certain moments in our lives. I thought that if I had just sneezed, it wouldn't have had that impact. Once I finished the song, I understood something important: it was just my journey, and that moment is taking me exactly where I need to go.

“If everyone likes it, it's not for me.”

Which tools do you use, and how?

First, I research and brainstorm a theme and a chorus. I ask myself questions and answers. Then, patiently, I fit everything together on Suno. I tweak even a simple consonant several times, working hard on the lyrics, which have to be nearly perfect. I experiment with prompts, and many fail, but when I find the perfect hook, I fall in love.

What does it mean to be an Italian artist in the AI music scene?

No, I don't consider myself a true artist, although I believe each of us is the artist of our own life. I think I'm more like a good listener, both in my daily life and in music, and listening is just as important as speaking.

What's next for you?

To live, and on the last day to symbolically shake my hand and smile.

What has this musical journey given you so far?

The most beautiful thing is having met people, in their ambitions, in their dreams and in their daily problems.
