How did you start making music with AI?

The desire to take my lyrics and set them to music.

What does AI do in your creative process — and what stays human?

I think AI allows me to bring emotional support to my words. It’s as if the music generated in this way can help me better convey what I have to say—which is the true core of my work.

Tell us about "21 Lettere". How was it made?

Lyrics explores depression and the healing power of writing and music. Starts from personal reflections, personal lived experiences. The music, meanwhile, began as a simple three-chord progression played on the guitar, which was then "dressed up" using Suno. As in much of my writing, I explore people’s fragilities—which I see as part of the wonder of our species, the human race. Naturally, I always end up telling my own story.

“Love and laugh if love answers, Cry out loud if it cannot hear you.”

Which tools do you use, and how?

I recorded the three-chord progression on the guitar. I asked Suno for an acoustic sound in the style of American folk, fingerpicking play. My initial thinking was for a more understated accompaniment—something like Travis picking—but at a certain point, Suno decided to add some guitar virtuosic flourishes that I really liked. Later, in the studio, I added strings to heighten the emotional intensity in certain passages.

What does it mean to be an Italian artist in the AI music scene?

I don’t think I have a clear answer. I don’t believe there are any linguistic or geographical barriers; there is only the curiosity to learn and explore. I write songs because I feel I have to. It’s a creative act that I owe to myself, and I never stop to wonder whether or not what I write will be well-received by others. Music—like all forms of expression—is simply an opportunity to shift one’s perspective and discover new angles, new worlds, and different stories, and, in a way, to experience them. It’s a wonderful chance for personal enrichment and discovery.Everyone approaches it according to their own culture, experience, and sensibility.

What's next for you?

xploring, learning, listening, and studying—all in an effort to gain ever-greater control over the AI tool.

In your opinion, does AI music exist?

I believe that AI is just a tools. But when a form of expression is the result of human reasoning, it remains human. It is not the medium that defines the content.
