“I give AI a voice, but the vision, the passion and the soul are human”

Beatrice doesn't exist, and she's the first to admit it. Like any music artist, Beatrice's “fame” goes beyond the songs she sings: she's a fully fledged persona.

AI tools used: Suno
The Interview
I started with some songs I'd written many years ago; then it became a project, and eventually it turned into an obsession.
AI gives me a starting point to work from, and then I tweak the rest “by hand.” I prefer to get something a little rough from the AI so I can work on it with various tools later. It's just a tool, Beatrice could exist even without it.
“Lo Stato Dell'Arte” is the culmination of a line of reasoning I began last year. I wanted to express my disapproval of the ongoing commodification of creativity, so I invented a dictatorial state called “Lo Stato Dell'Arte,” which feeds off us creatives to power a machine that has been running for centuries.
“I don't like contests”
I used Suno for the song's base track. Then I used Audition for mastering and editing.
To be honest, it's awful. The Italian AI scene is pretty dreadful for my taste, but that's just my opinion.
There's a lot going on, but I can't and won't give away any spoilers.
