The Interview

In conversation with Pink Wind

Interview by IAIMA team · 2026-10-19 · 5 min read

How did you start making music with AI?

I started by experimenting with AI music tools, and those experiments gradually became Pink Wind: a virtual trio with three distinct characters, Hoara, Naisha and Euphoria. I wanted to give them songs, personalities and stories that could develop over time. The sound has moved from stronger K-pop influences towards techno, house and Italo dance. Making their videos became another part of the project, bringing the characters to life through expressions, movement and humour.

What does AI do in your creative process — and what stays human?

AI generates the musical performances, voices and visual material, and helps me explore lyrics and ideas. I decide what the song is about, the mood, the characters and the direction I want to take. I listen, compare versions, reject results and keep working when something does not feel right. A technically impressive result can still be wrong for the song. The humour, the taste and the attachment to these three characters come from me. AI gives me possibilities; choosing what belongs in Pink Wind is my responsibility.

Tell us about "Apocalypse… NOW!". How was it made?

Apocalypse… NOW!” turns an everyday situation into a comically exaggerated disaster: a locked bathroom door, mounting suspicions, and someone who, eventually, has simply had enough. I wanted humor, distinct character, and a chorus that hits hard. I developed the lyrics and structure, then used Suno to generate the music and vocals. A subsequent remix—inspired by the sounds of Italo dance and Italo disco—brought the track closer to the vibe I was aiming for. My favorite detail is the kick drum, followed by a fleeting moment of silence before everything kicks back in with full force. The spoken parts and the back-and-forth exchanges give the three characters the space they need for their personalities to shine through. I also created a video that follows the unfolding drama, right up to the final “Too late.

“Stay on frequency.”

Which tools do you use, and how?

I use Suno to generate music and vocals, and ChatGPT to develop ideas, work on lyrics and refine prompts. For visuals, I use tools such as Grok to create images and video clips. I also run LTX locally through ComfyUI to animate the characters singing from a reference image and an audio track. I edit the finished videos in CapCut, choosing shots, cutting to the music and adding titles or subtitles. Each tool handles part of the process, but I keep returning to the same question: does this feel like Pink Wind?

What does it mean to be an Italian artist in the AI music scene?

For me, it means bringing my own taste into a project that can cross languages and borders. Pink Wind often sings in English or Korean, but my love of Italo dance is part of its sound. I like strong melodies, a driving beat and a sense of theatre and humour. I do not feel that being Italian means I have to sing only in Italian. It comes through in the choices I make, even when listeners do not know where the person behind the project comes from.

What's next for you?

I’m planning a six-track Pink Wind mini-album, bringing together songs such as “Elixir” and “Apocalypse… NOW!” with new material. I want to explore the Italo dance, techno and house direction further, with strong hooks and beats that make me want to turn the volume up. On the visual side, I’m working on more expressive singing performances and better consistency between clips. I also want to give Hoara and Euphoria more space alongside Naisha, so each member develops her own personality and stories. The aim is to keep improving the music and videos while keeping the fun that made me start.

Who are the three members of Pink Wind?

Hoara, Naisha and Euphoria are three fictional characters with different personalities. Hoara brings the darker, sharper attitude and the rap parts. Naisha is the melodic lead, with a strong presence and a softer side. Euphoria brings a brighter voice and youthful energy. I try to show those differences in their songs, expressions and stories. Giving each of them a moment to shine is part of the fun, and something I keep working on.

What makes a Pink Wind song successful for you?

First, I have to enjoy listening to it myself. If the beat makes me want to move, the chorus stays in my head, or a scene makes me laugh, that means something to me. I would be happy to reach more people, but I do not want to lose the pleasure of making these songs just to chase numbers. Seeing someone connect with the music or recognise one of the girls is rewarding. Pink Wind takes a lot of work, but it is still something I do because I enjoy it.
